Motors & Drives Division The TIC Motors & Drives division, which offers a full range of low and medium voltage motors, adjustable speed drives, motor controls, and power apparatus & components, is anchored by a totally integrated manufacturing process; research and development, design, engineering, production and manufacturing, and aftermarket service and support are all commandeered under one single roof. Power Electronics Division The TIC Power Electronics division has more than 25 years of experience in uninterruptible power systems. Toshiba produces a versatile range of single-phase and three-phase UPS solutions and accessories hallmarked for outstanding performance and reliability. Single-phase models range from 1 to 22 kVA, while three-phase single module systems range from 15 to 2,000 kW and three-phase parallel module systems from 90 to 16,000 kW. Transmission & Distribution Division Headquartered in Houston, the Transmission & Distribution Division is part of Toshiba Corp.'s world leadership in the supply of integrated solutions for energy transmission, distribution, and smart communities. Automotive Systems Division Since 2011, the TIC Automotive Systems Division has manufactured high-performance drive motors for hybrid electric vehicles (HEV). The state-of-the-art HEV plant spans 40,000 square feet and produces up to 180,000 motor and generator sets annually. The plant delivers motors and generators for hybrid electric vehicles including the Ford Fusion Hybrid and C-Max models. Toshiba Industrial Products Canada Ltd. (TIPCA) TIPCA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TIC located in a renovated state-of-the-art facility in Hamilton, Ontario. The TIPCA facility is focused on the design and production of large motors for complex and specialty applications such as explosion proof, marine, military, potash, and nuclear. Toshiba Industrial Products, Asia, Co. (TIPA) TIPA opened in September 2010 as a joint venture between TIC, Toshiba Corporation, Toshiba Industrial Products Manufacturing Corporation, & Toshiba Industrial Products Sales Corporation. The TIPA plant expands TIC's motor manufacturing capabilities to meet the global market's growing demand for premium efficiency motors and improved environmentally-responsible products that consume less power and emit less carbon dioxide. With approximately 861,113 sq. ft. of manufacturing space, TIPA has the capacity to produce up to 1.2 million high efficiency industrial motors a year.
